Looking for a medium adventure with like minded folks then this
is the trip.
Have only three days spare and want to Kakadu and Litchfield.
Group participation makes up a lot of this trip, so you'll be
required to help with preparation of meals and cleaning up. These
are the kind of tasks that bring a group closer together.
Looking for a safari with camping equipment including permanent
tent with beds and mattress. All linen including pillow and pillowcase,
fitted sheet, sleeping bag hire, towel.
Day 1: (Lunch, Dinner)
Departing from Darwin from 6 .00am, we begin the short journey
to Litchfield National Park. Explore the waterfalls, spring - fed
streams and rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield National
Park. Discover intriguing cathedral and magnetic termite mounds
and swim, hike and explore Florence and Wangi Falls and enjoy a
picnic lunch. After lunch we leave the highway behind and hit the
dirt travelling along the Marrakai Road before joining the Old Jim
Jim Road taking us deep into Kakadu National Park. Travelling past
billabongs and traversing water cro ssings bringing ample opportunity
for wildlife spotting. Arrive at our private campsite complete with
comfortable permanent tents at Cooinda where we spend the night
enjoying dinner and some stargazing.

Day 2: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Awake for breakfast this morning before joining an iconic Yellow
Waters Cruise. A must do activity within Kakadu National Park, the
award winning Yellow Waters cruise is Aboriginal owned and centres
around a spectacular billabong system that is home to som e remarkable
and diverse wildlife. Spotting crocodiles is only one of the many
wildlife viewing opportunities on this unique water system. Departing
camp we travel to nearby Nourlangie Rock. Here you can see how local
Aboriginal people lived in this ar ea through changing times. Environmental
and social changes are reflected in the rock art and in the ground,
where archaeologists have uncovered over 20,000 years of Aboriginal
occupation. After lunch visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, a Gun -
djeihmi name fo r the local area and creek on land owned by the
Mirarr clan. See the audio - visual presentations and Marrawuddi
Gallery showcasing Aboriginal art by artists from within Kakadu
and the wider region. Later this afternoon we arrive at the culturally
significat Aboriginal art site, Ubirr, located within the East Alligator
region of the park. Here you will view a wide range of ancient Aboriginal
art which will be interpreted by your guide. Learn the story of
the Rainbow Serpent and climb the Nadab Look out for panoramic views
over the floodplain and beyond into Arnhem Land. After learning
about the area, its time to pick out a quiet spot to sit while
we watch the sun set over the Kakadu escarpment before making the
short journey to our private and perma nent campsite for the night.

Day 3: (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today the jewels of Kakadu National Park await. Departing early
we travel to Twin and Jim Jim Falls. Explore Twin Falls Gorge which
is accessed by 4 - wheel drive track, a boat shuttle service and
a rocky walking track and boardwalk. Once there relax on the sandy
banks and admire the falls. Theres more 4 - wheel driving as we
make our way to Jim Jim Falls where a walk through monsoon forest
and over boulders takes us to the waterfall and plunge pool which
are surrounded by 150 metre cliffs. Spend the afternoon taking in
the sheer beauty of your spectacular surrounds before we make our
wa y back to Darwin and your accommodation after three magical days
of adventure and wildlife, rich in cultural history and natural
beauty.

What to bring on tour:
Booked and paid E-Ticket, Torch, wide brimmed hat, sunscreen,
insect repellent, water bottle (1.5 litres), walking shoes/boots,
sleeping bag (if you prefe r to use your own), toiletries, swim
wear, towel, camera, comfortable and casual clothing for 3 days.
What's Included in tour:
Professional guide, travel in an air - conditioned 4WD vehicle.
Yellow Waters cruise, all meals (as listed on itineraries), camping
equipment and fees including permanent tent with beds and mattress.
All linen including pillow and pil lowcase, fitted sheet, sleeping

Special Dietary requirements and allergies
Our menu is designed for both carnivores and vegetarians. If you
are have any special dietary needs or allergies, please contact
us to discuss this at time of booking as you may need to provide
your own supplementary food/ snacks depending on your specific dietary
need or allergy.
W.A.Safaris operates in some remote parts of Australia where certain
foods are not easily available and therefore cannot accommodate
all dietary requests. At times, produce and products may be substituted
as supply dictates and Wayoutback cannot guarantee the ingredients
contained in these alternatives. Whilst all of our guides are trained
in remote touring, they are not nutritionists and neither they nor
Wayoutback Australian Safaris can advise of all ingredients contained
in each food served on tour and are not responsible should an allergic
reaction occur.
If you have any allergies, please carry the necessary medication.
Many dietary requirements are catered for in our standard menus.
Itineraries
Itinerary may change due to cultural reasons, seasonal changes,
operational logistics and accessibility.
Twin Falls boat shuttle fee is an additional $12.50 payable on
day of departure. Please have cash ready to pay direct to boat shuttle
provider.
* Twin and Jim Jim Falls may not be accessible between the shoulder
periods of May - Jun and October. During this time we will visit
Gunlom Falls, Maguk or the Yurmikmik Region (Motor Car Falls or
Boulder Creek) or spend more time in locations visited.
* Wangi Falls may not be accessible. During this time we will
provide an alternative or spend more time in locations visited.
Due to limited space on the vehicle please restrict luggage to
one day pack and one soft overnight bag/backpack. Excess luggage
should be stored at your Darwin accommodation.
For travel from November to April please refer to our Wet season
itinerary and pricing.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory for all international travellers
and should be taken out at the time of booking. We recommend Australian
citizens take out a domestic travel insurance policy which covers
personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage
and personal effects. Travel Insurance is compulsory for all travellers.
This clause is included as a duty of care to protect our travellers
and all levels of the travel distribution chain, but excludes those
nationals of countries where local law prohibits a compulsory service
that is not included in the tour price. Whilst Travel Insurance
is strongly recommended for these nationals, we will not apply these
booking conditions where law prohibits it. However, all travellers
will be expected to sign a waiver before commencing their tour acknowledging
that they are aware of the increased risks associated with Adventure
Travel and that they understand that Wayoutback will not be held
responsible for any loss, damage, delay, accident or injury sustained
whilst on tour with us.
Default Pickup Point
The default pick up point is where we will meet you for your tour,
unless you or your travel agent requests an alternative location
(contact our Reservations team for more information). It is your
responsibility to contact us with your preferred pick up point well
ahead of departure. We do not take responsibility for missed tours
if we have not been advised of an alternative in advance and you
are not at the default location on time.

Vehicle:
4WD Mitsubishi Canters (14-16 seat) & 4WD Isuzu EcoV Trucks (21
seat). All of our vehicles have been modified or custom built to
suit the harsh Australian outback conditions. Not all vehicles are
late model, some of our budget tours operate older model vehicles,
all of which are compliant with NT and federal laws and requirements.
Please note: Some of these vehicles due to their age are not fitted
with seat belts. All vehicles do however have forward facing seats,
large windows to enjoy our wonderful landscapes and viewing wildlife,
and microphones for commentary.
Luggage:
A STRICT luggage limit of day pack only 10kg applies. Please limit
to one small to medium sized soft bag or backpack and a small daypack,
which can be carried inside the vehicle.
Fitness Level:2 out of 5: Two and three day trips
that include easy walking.. Minimal physical exertion required.
Maximum Walks: Hikes up to 6-8kms per day. A reasonable level of
fitness is required as there will be some walking to view places
of interest. Suitable for soft adventures with a passion for bushwalking
and exploring. Passengers must be fit and active.
Please note: there is climbing over rocks and small let's say 1.5m
or higher rocks along the 900m path to the plunge pool. You can
sit that out if you wish. Ask us for details. Example of the walk..

Staying: Classic Safaris (Standard Camping with share
facilities).
Permanent Campsites - Classic Safaris offer permanent
safari tents with twin beds and swags under the stars with guests
choosing their preferred option whilst on location. Linen including
sheet, pillow, pillowcase, towel and sleeping bag are included on
Classic Safaris.During the tropical summer swags are not available
on all Top End Safaris with tents or budget accommodation being
offered in their place. Adventure Safaris offer swags with portable
tents on request. Sleeping bags can be hired for $30.

Adventure Safaris offer swags - You can be sleeping in a swag
on the bed.
If you haven't used a swag before, don't worry. Our experienced
guides will show you all you need to know to get one of the best
night's sleep you've ever had! All our equipment is purchased with
quality and durability in mind. Our swags for example are fitted
with Dunlop high density foam mattresses. This mattress is the best
and most comfortable money can buy. We hire out good quality sleeping
bags rated to minus 5° for those cold desert nights; likewise, we
hire out lighter weight summer sleeping bags if required for our
balmy summer evenings.

advices are offered as an important part of learning, it is not
designed to scare you.
In general the best part of interaction is to avoid and not promote
confrontation.
