Group participation makes up a lot of this trip, so you'll be
required to help with preparation of meals and cleaning up. These
are the kind of tasks that bring a group closer together.
Day 1: Darwin to Litchfield returning to Darwin
Day 1 (Lunch)
Departing Darwin at approxima tely 7.00 am, our adventure begins
as we travel to wards Litchfield National Park. A pleasant 90 minute
drive south of Darwin, we view the Magnetic and Cathedral Termite
mounds , an amazing architectural feat cont aining arch es, tunnels,
chimneys. They are plentiful in this region and can stand as high
as 6 metres. Once we arrive you will explore waterfalls, spring
- fed streams and the rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield
National Park. Swim, hike and explore Florence and Wangi Falls *
. Enjoy a tasty BBQ lunch within the park and d iscover the many
rock holes and cascading waterfalls of Buley Rockhole before our
early evening arrival back in Darwin.
What to bring on tour:
Booked and paid E-Ticket, Wide brimmed hat, sunscreen, insect
repellent, water bottle (1.5 litres), walking shoes/boots, swim
wear, towel and camera.

Our menu is designed for both carnivores and vegetarians. If you
are have any special dietary needs or allergies, please contact
us to discuss this at time of booking as you may need to provide
your own supplementary food/ snacks depending on your specific dietary
need or allergy.

foods are not easily available and therefore cannot accommodate
all dietary requests. At times, produce and products may be substituted
as supply dictates and Wayoutback cannot guarantee the ingredients
contained in these alternatives. Whilst all of our guides are trained
in remote touring, they are not nutritionists and neither they nor
Wayoutback Australian Safaris can advise of all ingredients contained
in each food served on tour and are not responsible should an allergic
reaction occur.
If you have any allergies, please carry the necessary medication.
Many dietary requirements are catered for in our standard menus.

*Wangi Falls can close during the Tropical wet season and will
be substituted during this time.
Due to limited space on the vehicle please restrict luggage to
a day pack (maximum 10kg). Excess luggage should be stored at your
accommodation.

Safari is not suitable for children under 5 years of age.
Travel Insurance - Travel Insurance is highly recommended.
Travel insurance is compulsory for all international travellers
and should be taken out at the time of booking. We recommend Australian
citizens take out a domestic travel insurance policy which covers
personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage
and personal effects.

The default pick up point is where we will meet you for your tour,
unless you or your travel agent requests an alternative location
(contact our Reservations team for more information). It is your
responsibility to contact us with your preferred pick up point well
ahead of departure. We do not take responsibility for missed tours
if we have not been advised of an alternative in advance and you
are not at the default location on time.

to one small to medium sized soft bag or backpack and a small daypack,
which can be carried inside the vehicle.

Maximum Walks: Hikes up to 1-3kms per day. A reasonable level of
fitness is required as there will be some walking to view places
of interest. Suitable for soft adventures with a passion for bushwalking
